Yes you have Michael, and so have over a 100 others.

But then at the time I was rather busy running a different forum

 

Sorry these stats haven'y been updated since 12+ months. I dont hang out here as much as I used to, but I can see that changing in the next 12 months as I get back into the coin scene. I cycle through the hobbies as time and money allows, for instance, I went skiing yesterday for the first time in 14 years!

Please ignore me- I posted this accidentally, while playing around to see how the oh-so appropriately-named @geekpryde had created the tables.

 

Okay peeps, its been a long time, a real LONG time since this was updated.

I am busy compiling all the new data, and will update all the tables with the latest and greatest information as of 6/13/2017. I plan on posting the results by this Friday, 6/16/2017.

I have been working on compiling some stats on our favorite coin site.

I wont bore you with the technical details, but basically I looked at 181,536 threads created since Aug 2002 and used this data to create the informational tables you see below. When I first created this page in 2014, I had only compiled 135,707 threads. As of this update, which is 3 years later, CoinTalk users have created another 45,000 threads! (If you want to see the original post, click here)

I do NOT have access to CT database, since I am not a moderator/administrator. Because I don't have access to everything, this is just an approximation based on what I was able to glean from pages I have access to. But, this is a VERY good sample, representing most of what normal users can see.

Hope you enjoy these fun tidbits, and I will release more as I have time to analyze the data.

Most threads don't last but a single page. There are quite a few 2-pages, some 3 pagers, and it keeps dropping after that. Only 197 threads crossed the 15 page mark!

Meaning, 11,719 members only created a single thread in their entire life on CT thus far! Only ~1,560 members created more than 20 threads each!

So if 21+ created threads is the benchmark for "Actively contributing Content", there are only around 1,560 really active members over the history of CT. Of course, many members chose not to start their own threads, and actively participate by posting replies. CoinTalk already benchmarks this, so I wont duplicate it here. CoinTalk also already lists the most "popular" members. (I used to be on that list)
