well.. if they are being minted w/the same high standard quality as the washington dollars.. they should probably crank out a zillion a minute...
john adams dollars what you thinking is the releasing date. may 2007. but production date is always ahead of releasing date.
I believe that the Washington figures are only to be 300 million total for both mints combined This will also apply to the other Presidents 300 million combined for each
well the washington minatge, according to thos eposted, are already around 500 million combined... I dont think those are right - the Reserve only ordered 300 million of the washingtons ..... And as for the coming presidents, i think you will see mintages falling as the series progresses
mintages question let's us request mr. ND86 to answer and verify the mintages for the presidential series again. and why it is over 300,000,000?.
ND 86 is pretty scarce around here since the mint pulled that unethical stunt (regrding subscriptions to the first spouse coins sets).
error coorection the correct figures for prez dollars are: washington (P) 163,680,000 (D) 176,680,000 total 340,360,000 john adams (P) 122,200,000 (D) 91,400,000 total 212,600,000 - (as of april)
wow thats quite a differance... makes me wonder where the figures from the original post came from anyone know what the Reserve has ordered for the Adams dollar?
sac dollar i wondered only few pices produced for sac dollar as of april. (P) 3,640,000 and (D) 3,920,000.

mintages not accurate?. mintages posted by numismatic news is not accurate. they just copy directly from u.s. mint website monthly production report. in fact, the mint stated clearly that the production report does not include silver proof set, clad proof set, mint uncirculated set, and other sets (like 6 pc nickel set & 3-pc nickel set) as well. so the final mintages should be very much higher for each denomination. for example: 2006 kennedy (P) 2,400,000 and 2006 kennedy (D) 2,000,000. you have to add mint uncirculated set currently at 883,861 (P) and 883,861 (D). because the mint is still selling them. all denomination should be adjusted. unless we will treat them separately. like uncirculated and satin-finish uncirculated.
latest figures from the mint. 2007 dollar: washington (P) 176.7 mil (D) 163.7 mil adams (P) 112.4 mil (D) 112.1 mil 2007 quarter: montana (P) 257.0 mil (D) 256.2 mil washington (P) 265.2 mil (D) 280.0 mil 2007 nickel: jefferson (P) 306.9 mil (D) 368.2 mil
I always thought they called in at the end of the week for the latest numbers, the monthly report wouldn't help them much. As it is I think the mintages are approximations as it seems to take the mint years to publish the final mintage numbers.
Not to be a pain but the uncirculated sets currently at 883,861 (P) and 883,861 (D). come together as one set and they still sell them, but are not minting anymore so if they do not sell all some may get dumped into circulation which will lower the 883,861
