This is the category of my collection for all Ancient and Medieval Coins, and includes pretty much everything that dates up to the year 1600 AD. One exception to this is the subcollection of the Roman Twelve Caesars, which have their own thread. SEE MY OTHER COLLECTIONS HERE. Coins below are displayed in chronological order. Photos are not shown to scale. Thank you for taking the time to view my collections. I welcome your comments. Curated with the same level of care as the other collections. You have an excellent eye for numismatic treasures.
Another thread with a bunch of beautiful coins! I'm partial to US coinage, true, but am being drawn more and more towards the "dark side". My favorite of this grouping would have to be this one as I really dig the design:
Several nice pieces. I'll let you guess which one is my favorite. The bracteate's are nice to look, but are light and wafer thin.
Maybe my only Levinson-listed coin, eh? You actually know Robert Levinson, don’t you? (For those wondering who/what I’m talking about, here.)
Bob and I are good friends. I've had lunch/dinner with Bob and his wife quite a few times. A few years ago I discovered a couple of pieces unknown to him and others. We share pics of coins with each other. His knowledge about Early Dated coins along with other Medieval coins is amazing.
