This will be another one of my "pick your prize" contests, so you can hopefully win something you'll like. The prize for this contest will be your choice of an item from one of the following three categories. (Standard apologies for my terrible cellphone photography below.) Pick one of the following lots: Lot 1- Ancient Category Roman Empire: bronze As of Claudius, ca. 41-54 AD; Libertas reverse Lot 2- World Category (2 coins) Venezuela: silver 5-Bolívares, 1929, & Germany (Saxony): notgeld 50 pfennig, 1921, in red Meissen porcelain Lot 3- United States Category United States: silver Morgan dollar, 1882 To enter: all you have to do is say that you want in, and specify which lot you would like if you should happen to win the random drawing. Also a word or two about why you want it, or some other coin-related comment of your choice. Only one entry post per contestant, please. You may enter on someone else's behalf if you do not desire the prize for yourself. Simply state who you would like to receive it, should your entry win the drawing. The drawing will be held sometime on or after May 1, 2023, depending on my schedule. You may consider the contest open for entries until such time as I have posted the final result of the random drawing. Totally free: the contest is free of charge, open to everyone, with free worldwide shipping. The only obligation is that I ask that if you win, please post to this thread later, when you have received the prize, so that we'll know you got it (that helps me keep track). Good luck! Numismatic regards, ~Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick ("LordM") ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ LordM Giveaway archive This contest is brought to you by Lily and Binx.
Entry post coin #2 Thanks for the opportunity ..... and won the 1914/3 buffalo yey,,yey,,hey,,hey....not bad for the end of an April fools day! Can't wait to get this buff in hand. I beat potty yey,yey....... Talk about wild clashes...oy vey....
I want in and thanks for the chance to win the Roman Empire: bronze As of Claudius, ca. 41-54 AD; Libertas reverse I thought I had a Claudius but didn't. I have a Claudius II
Entry Post for #3 Who doesn't like a sweet looking, clunky piece of Morgan silver? Thank you o' generous one.
Entry Post Lot #1 Claudius Bronze AS, one that I do not have. An Emperor with a story that is interesting, Disfigured, awkward and clumsy, Claudius (10 BC – 54 AD / Reigned 41 – 54 AD) was the black sheep of his family and an unlikely emperor. Once in place, he was fairly successful, but his poor taste in women would prove his undoing.......
I want in! Option #3 is my pick. I love silver and porcelain notgeld as well. Here's a lovely MS66 Meissen porcelain medal!
Entry Post #13(Lucky!)--- I choose the Morgan Dollar because I currently only have two in my collection. That's where you come in!
Entry post, and make it an extra chance for @expat , please. Going to see if I can win a coin or two off auction today. Have a few in my watchlist that would be nice additions to the type set.
I want in. I would choose lot 2. I have been interested in porcelain coins after seeing a japanese one on eBay. Every time one comes up I always bid on them but never successfully. I didn’t know of any others before today.
I want in too. I choose the world pair because one of my long term hold collections is World Crown size silver coins and that 5 Bolivare fits perfectly. thanks
