My Resolution to Keep up with Research and Write-ups: Q3 Progress

As I posted at the end of March, one of my collecting goals for the year was to be better about photographing and posting write ups for my coins that I buy this year. I must say that I feel pretty good about my progress at keeping up with that goal so far. I still have some coins I haven’t photographed and posted but I’ve been doing better about researching coins as I get them.

Since we are closing in on the end of Q3 2021, I thought this would be a good time to make this thread showing my progress on write ups in Q2 and Q3 (see my Q1 thread here).

This will probably be my last progress update for the year since I will most likely rely on my year end “Top 10” lists to link to any write ups from Q4. Big thanks to the community for being part of a fun collecting year so far.

Your write ups are greatly appreciated, @Curtisimo ! I really have nothing to add that compares to your consistently excellent and informative posts. I’m really just a visual person (I’ve made a living as a graphic artist in a US Government printshop for most of my life.) I enjoy designing posters that feature the coins in my collections and leave the detailed historic/numismatic write ups to those, such as yourself and other CTAF members, who are vastly more knowledgable than I.

So far, I've only written up really one coin. I've been working on a write-up for each of my coins from "Alexander and the Era of the Diadochi" (41 coins so far) but right now I only have the introduction.

Thanks to all for posting links to your write ups. It seems like I check in with CoinTalk pretty often so I think it is rather surprising that I miss so many good write ups! There were several posted above that I had not read before.

You are far to kind my friend. I for one find your threads unique and valuable. You are a very talented graphic artists and I always enjoy seeing what you come up with and I appreciate your skill.

Your collection of biblical and near East coins is a great focus area and I always like seeing your newest examples.
