After looking through a bunch of NGC coins, one will realize a special feature that they use-the Star designation.

Here you can see some info and history about it:
    https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-ngc-stars-and-a-little-history.308504/

For this thread, we will mainly focus on toning. A coin will be posted and everyone can provide an opinion of whether the coin deserves a star or does not deserve a star.

    The basic rules:
    1. Post an NGC toned coin with a star designation or without a star.
    2. Everyone will have around 24 hours to give an opinion (can be extended if there is low participation).
    3. Majority opinion will decide that coin.
    4. Please comment if you want to post next.

-there won’t really be a scoring system...just a count of what happened (how many stars were deserving/not deserving and how many non-stars should/shouldn’t star).
-note: holders from before the star era will be a bit of a curveball, but we will deal with those when the time comes.

First up: should this coin receive a star?

I don't think it should have a star. It does have vibrant toning, but I don't feel like it would constitute "exceptional eye appeal," at least not in my opinion. The toning is not even throughout and it does not have proof-like surfaces.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

That cent has very nice color - but the long dark streak on the obverse and the random pattern on the reverse preclude the star. It is nice, but no star.
