I'm interested to know if the people who were so sure this coin was AT are just as confident now that they know it has a CAC sticker.

Based on the images, I stand by my comments. I am amenable to the possibility that it looks differently in hand as with any of the coins in this thread regardless of sticker or plastic.

Looks NT to me. There is no “neon bright center,” nor are there unrealistic vivid patterns of toning. It seems rather arbitrarily toned, as if some storage contact took place. Moreover, to me, it is not an attractive toning that would command a large premium. So, for me, it would be NT—MA.

IMO that Lincoln is NT/MA, amazing, and deserving of a huge premium!

PS, how did that coin not get a star designation?

I think it is absolutely NT. Market acceptable? I am not a copper fan, and I would spend a fair premium for toning as beautiful as that coin has.

    NT/MA

This coin is exactly the like the penny I purchased recently. I'm disappointed that mine was labeled QT but mine has a dark blue patch. NT. Even if not its for sure MA.

Here's my QT example to throw a wrench in anyone's guess. Sorry about the scratched slab.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The difference here is, your penny is absolutely and certainly AT, and the coin we're discussing is beautiful and gloriously NT. There really isn't any meaningful comparison between them.

I haven't posted in a while here. The '96(?) nickel and the '28 Peace dollar were AT IMO.

    The '55-S Lincoln is NT.

Would there be any interest in a thread where we all judge NGC stars (probably toning only) to see if the majority of posters feels a Star coin is deserving/not deserving or a non-Star coin should/shouldn't be a Star?

Yes, that thread would be awesome, and I have several candidates.

Pastels are very rare in my opinion, I would have to say MA, But I am not sure if it is natural, I just expect Lincolns to have darker tones.
