Here is a 1100 gram silver bar. Apparently the markings read Qing Treasury. I negotiated a price with the owner for $530 but I didn’t buy it yet. Is it 925 or 999? Thanks for the help. also, how much would you buy it for?
How can you tell this bar is real ? where does it say 1100 grams ? seller should know if it's .925 or .999 if it is real then that is great price. Hope it's not coming from China ??? I would be very cautious... I would pass on it.
Fake bars are out there. Use extreme caution. I talked to a guy one time that bought a 14 kilo piece that was bogus.
There's no way that is a Qing dynasty bar. They were more crude and this is clearly a modern production. If it is a genuine Qing dynasty sycee, it would be significantly much dearer.
If you have the bar in hand, find someone with an electronic way to test the silver content. Otherwise have the seller find someone to verify content. It's an interesting bar, but know what your buying before you buy it.
There is no way this was made during the Wing dynasty. If you look at Chinese silver history, most of their silver are cast silver in the shape of a brick or sycee. This bar is just too good to be true. I would be better off spending money on lotto tickets.
