Finally getting around to sorting pennies stowed for decades, handed down over 30 years ago, totally disorganized, thousands of them, mostly pre Zincolns. Pop was a "collector", but not all that formal. Bags, rolls, boxes, gotta be fifty pounds. To give some idea, there are 150 Steelies, and counting...He'd look through tons of em. Here's a little of what I'm running into, just to start with. It's crazy...
Latest additions to the Toned Registry Set: 1916-D MS64BN PCGS 1927-D MS64BN PCGS Kind regards, George
Wow, some likes.. cool. There's more. I think some wheats were put in, AU in the fifties on, I'll post a few, and there are a few more post strike ones, novelties, it seems. I'm noticing a lot of 1960, 69s, and 70 s among the memorials. Pop caught onto some key dates early, throw em in, check em later mode. Some, obviously, Vf, maybe AU..from what I've learned. Probably not all that, but, as he'd say "Something, is better than nothing"..Good motto...

For some reason, I don't have a picture of my 86. Here's the nicest 86D I've found, probably from an OBW roll.
@BadThad This one is very mirrored PL. What you see in the fields obv, are from abrasions on the die.
