Part 1 & 2 was revealed; you can see the threads here: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/pcgs-sub-2022-guess-the-grade-part-1-of-5.395475/ https://www.cointalk.com/threads/pcgs-sub-2022-guess-the-grade-part-2-of-5.395513/ Continuing onwards, here is part 3 of 5. Please guess the original grade and the new grade (originally NGC and now PCGS). Are they the same or different? Here I am including two photos (a PCGS TrueView and the photos from Great Collections in the original holder).
I see now that I checked over on CU I originally put "yes this is another 1890-O" in my first post but then deleted that line, thinking it wasn't needed. FYI: part 4 of 5 might have a warning message if I don't forget about it.
I'm pretty useless at grading but that coin is so beautiful it makes me weak. Can I trade you my house for it? I'll be homeless but so very happy.
It’s just a guess for fun, so don’t worry about being right or wrong. But if you don’t want to guess, no worries. Just sit back and wait for the reveal. And thank you for the compliment! This one is going into my collection as I really like it too (plus I want you to keep your home ).
And the reveal: NGC MS 62 PCGS MS 63 ......this was a win! NGC did this coin no favors; they missed the star and 62 was quite conservative. If there was no color, I could see it, but with the eye appeal, 62 and no star doesn't make sense. PCGS could have added a plus, but those are hard to get. I'll take the (deserved) upgrade.
