I have to guess Zumbly as well because I feel it fits his collecting interests. That or this coin and writeup are a big misdirection.

That's a really nicely styled fourree as well. I imagine it fooled its fair share of merchants in its day. I've often wondered that we see so many genuine (i.e. good metal) examples with test cuts but I don't recall ever seeing a fourree with a test cut. Such a thing would make me wonder just how the conversation immediately preceding the coin going in the trash heap went down...:rage::hurting:

I'm thinking @zumbly because the little self-written blurb is written in his style.

My less-than-supurb Alex lifetime tet, but I don't think anyone can beat the negative $25 I paid for it. ;)

So that "extra chance" to win. Is that like a second guess for that particular round? Will you @Curtisimo be informing us if we have an extra chance?

The extra chance is like an extra slip of paper in the hat for a drawing. For example if you get 3 chances your name is in the drawing three times. I will tell everyone how many right answers they got and how many chances they earned at the end of all 5 rounds so that it doesn't give away any info on who was correct before all coins have been shown.

I will be posting round number 2 this afternoon so anyone who hasn't had an opportunity to make a guess and enter this round please feel free to do so now :)

After I post the second round anyone is still invited to post to the thread but only the guesses registered before the second round is posted will be counted as entries in the game.

I think it's @Curtisimo because it sounds like his sense of humor.

This is my coin - it is a Zeus that just looks like Alexander - sort of.

I still think it is Curtisimo.

Me too, @Curtisimo! I'm a YN too because I have only been learning and collecting ancient coins since April of this year! That makes me a mere 8 months old - maybe the youngest YN on CT.;)
    Huh? yeah? huh?:D

(Well, you can't blame a girl for trying).

I believe Zumbly owns this coin; he loves ancient warriors and believes in mythology whole heartedly.

Yup, I do love ancient warriors and believe in mythology wholeheartedly. :)

I’d also like to believe that that wonderful coin is mine, though of course it belongs to Sev, a fact that still causes me some consternation on occasion. :sour:
