In the lot was the 1960 Denmark 5 Kroner silver coin. It was twice as bright as the big Bahamas dollar. Sure looks good....on top of the tissue!
If the outer surface of a coin contains silver, then it may reflect visible light better than a similar surface which does not contain silver. Silver is highly reflective. It is a material commonly used to make reflective surfaces such as mirrors.
