Found this 1960-D in change today (I think it's a Small Date) the only reason I noticed it is because it has a weird light Bronze/Gold color to it, searched out some some old threads and seems like it was dipped or plated or something

After I posted this I found this site with 1960-D pennies for sale and their stock image also appears to have a light Gold/Bronze color to it, so maybe all the 1960-D pennies were minted that way

It's a large date, worth 1 cent. Copper takes on all kinds of colors, completely normal.

And they don't have any ugly spotting, either! I didn't know there were two varieties of 1979-S (filled and clear S mint mark) so I got both.

  18. Is this the kind of coin that you have graded? I'm new to coin collecting and I'm trying to get more knowledge on what I have.

  19. Hello I'm new to coin collecting and have a lot of questions. I have some 1960 & 1970 pennies and wondering if they are the kind you would have graded. I don't want to send a coin for grading if it's not worth anything..

You would get the best results if you start a new thread about your coins. When you do remove them from the plastic and get good clear shots of both the obv. and rev. Most 60's and 70s cents aren't worth the grading fees.
