Unless there is a way to correct polls now, could you please get rid of GTG #575 & 576. I will repost them tonight hopefully correctly this time.

then you will get that message. That is because that post was moved to an area that members cannot see.

For example, if a post is removed because it breaks the rules, but a link still shows up to that post and you click on it -

The same message is also given whenever somebody clicks on a link that would take them to a page that they not allowed to view.

Anyway, that is a default message that the software gives whenever somebody tries to post someplace they are not allowed to post.

GDJMSP, What is a "Black Beauty" Jefferson nickle worth, if not slabbed? I think I may have one, and will have to check the date.

Howdy Craig - thanks for the kind words !

First of all you need to realize that I no longer collect coins and haven't since 2006. I sold all of my coins back then. It took several years to assemble that collection, I did it after I stopped collecting US coins and switched over to world coins. But now all I do is continue to study coins and try to help others.

All price catalogs, or price guides, whatever you want to call them are worthless.

If you want to know the realistic value of a coin then look up realized auction prices.

The "leading numismatic catalog" is insanely priced.
For example, their price on 1987 proof sets are $29. The Red Book is charging just $5, a great bargain even from the U.S. mint price of $11.

Also, they're saying that 1995 or 1997 proof Kennedy halves are selling for $95-$100 each.
      True story: $40 per coin.
