Gold: watching the Lost Gold of WWII on TV. General McArthur and his staff recovered at least 30 metric tons of Japanese gold. I wonder how much that would be worth today?
The Government took it and supposedly used it to finance the Cold War and off the book CIA operations. Treasure hunters are still in the Philippines searching for WWII Japanese treasure. It's not BS it's for real as opposed to the ongoing soap opera that Oak Island has become.
Gold is currently at $55500 per kilo. That would be $55.5 million per metric ton, or $1.65 billion for 30 metric tons.
I read some years ago a Philippine "President" (don't remember which one) extracted >$Billions in Japanese treasure. This is documented. The current PHillppine Government makes if very difficult to search for the treasure. Lost Gold of WWII is on the History Channel.
Like "Oak Island", "Lost Gold" will just be another wild goose chase that the producers use to suck another half-dozen seasons out of BS plots that go nowhere and never find nothin'. ~ Chris
You're probably right. I don't watch the show on a regular basis. I do know that $billions has been removed and some have actual Japanese maps describing where treasure is/was buried.
