I could see it if the coin were graded XF or VG. But slabbed at MS70 means if it is regraded, more than likely it will be graded lower, since this is the only direction to go. I'm sure you are aware that if you crack a coin out and resubmit it, you can get a different grade. Dealers do it all the time.

And to look at only the bullion value, IMHO, is wrong. Go to E-bay and see what slabbed MS70 ASE are going for. Are you suggesting that taking a $50 or more hit is OK with you?

yep i understand, and if I bought this coin (at a good price) I would leave it be, but might also know that if ever considered a collectible that the Obama pic would limit the number of potential future interested buyers out there.
