A few coins from Canada I got in a trade a while back.

The spots on the Silver Dollars are on the ICCS plastic IMG_0003.JPG IMG_0004.JPG 1958 Canada$.jpg
With the addition of this next 1926 Canada Nickel I now only need the 1925 and 2018 to make a complete 1922-2018 Date set. 1926Can5.jpg
and finally a couple more modern coins from Canada IMG_0001.JPG IMG_0002.JPG 2015Canada50-ccfopt.jpg

Pretty rare (fewer than 1,000,000 minted) and in pretty nice shape.

    New purchase...

It was one of those "saw it - had to have it" impulse purchases.

The apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John with a book symbolizes their gospels, surrounding the Pax symbol. I don't read or speak Polish but pretty sure thats the reverse meaning. Poland still a very religious country with very strong beliefs.

The side with the four evangelists was also used for the brass 2 zł commem issued on the same occasion. Don't speak Polish either but "Wielki Jubileusz Roku 2000" means "Great Jubilee Year 2000". See here - in Polish; click on "English" to read a longer text about the Great Jubilee (of the Roman Catholic Church) in English ...
