that just reeks of Ayn Rand nonsense and you end up with deregulation and dirty air and water again. Also the taxpayer ends up cleaning up after mining and subsiding black lung disease bills. That's the real socialism.
I never said we had done it correctly, I am pointing out capitalism can be modified to create correct economic signals to pay for damage to commons. Remember the famous incident of the Pinto where Ford calculated it was cheaper to pay wrongful death lawsuits than fix the car? Well, when the price of the wrongful death lawsuits changed, it changed the economic calculation and the cars were fixed. All of this can be done rationally without destroying the engine which you today enjoy the benefits of, without needing to steal from some due to human's unfortunate nature of being envious. All of this "tax the 1%" nonsense is pure greed and envy, and if we succumb to this most base of human emotions we all suffer. The USSR was a very good example of socialism, nearly everyone was equal. They were all starving and had miserable qualities of life, but EQUALLY. Myself, I choose instead to congratulate those who are successful and try hard to become successful myself. Always ask yourself, what have you done TODAY, or THIS YEAR, to make yourself more successful. Don't wait for a handout like a pauper, put on your big boy pants and do it yourself. Making yourself more successful helps everyone. People becoming millionaires help everyone. Personal success is the best way to help your fellow man.
Another reason, is the fact that silver is overweight right now and many feel that it is at or near the top of its value, there’s really not much room for growth, but the pandemic has put a new spin on everything.
Isn't there going to be a RESET coming for Currency.. Silver and gold and other assets will stand to benefit. Especially with orders to all Federal Government agencies to tranistion to electric motor vehicles. that has a silver lining
Don’t forget even though the electric vehicle Is here now, taxation on miles driven will be a big turn off, however double taxation on the normal fossil fuel vehicle I think will offset that difference, yields have gone up slightly, so I think we’re still looking good atleast in the forceable future, best thing to do is stay diversified !
Companies now look for new employees that have moved from job to job. They put more value on them as go-getters. Those that have been with one company or so their whole career aren't valued like they used to be.
People dont wanna work period........ values haved changed... time off is more important than making a living. I worked with a guy at the end of my career with an attitude like this. You could make two or three thousand a week but he would make a 1,000 and told me if he could make it on 700.00 a week he would work less.
No, I mean, why should you work more time than you want to earn more money than you need? If you love your job, fine, I guess -- but many (most?) people work because they need to make a living, not for the joy of it.
The problem is, those lazy ones want stimulus checks, section 8, welfare, universal healthcare, wealth distribution, etc. They don't want to earn their keep.
Just typed out a whole laundry list for you. Read it back and decided that politics might not be the best direction to respond to your query. Some things are best left unsaid, here on CT.
But then again some people hate there jobs and are just looking for an excuse to leave and get paid for it, more then there making doing there job ! its a bad message to send in my book.
It's not "lazy" to prioritize your time. If you work long hours because you find it rewarding, more power to you. If you work long hours just to earn money you don't need, I'd argue that you're being foolish.
