I am thinking about getting my first big (over 1/4 oz) gold coin & would like to know which First Spouse should I get first?? The jackson & Buchanan Proof liberties are my favorites, but there are several of the "ugly" ones that look to be "key" low mintage ones, especially in UNC. So what do I start with & Why?? Thanks, Bill
The liberty short set is more on the numismatic side than a pure bullion buy (some of the coins carry a premium over spot). But it may turn out that sold as a set they may bring more money in the future. Maybe try to get proof and unc- if you have to decide though go for unc.
I gotta agree. Get the one you like the most first, and take it from there. The Buchanan is super!! :thumb:
I like the #15, Proof. The proofs and uncirculated are nice. So hard to pick just between those two. How about just getting everything that comes out during 2012? Get all proofs and uncircs during the year that many thought the world would end. That would total about 4 full ounces I think.
Jefferson Liberty prices have increased recently, as compared to the other 2007 sposes. IMO: It is the best looking by far regardless of mintage. TC
I would pick the design you like the best and buy that one first. The first Liberty design is still my favorite. I started doing all of them but my calculator blew up figuring the total cost of the set.
