When/If SHTF, how long will silver/gold rounds and such last?

Just remember. When have you ever heard of anyone, now or in human history, who had gold that went hungry? With enough gold, you can even keep playing golf.

But what if you all ready have more bread than you could eat and its all going stale and moldy?, then you will wish for some medium of exchange that could be exchanged for some bread at a later date when you need it, or exchanged for something like a apple because you are sick of eating bread. Like maybe a little round token, made of something thats scarce enough so that people just cant make up hundreds of em in their basements out of common materials and get free bread. Unless we all go back to subsistence farming we will always need some form of money.
