When I first started the arduos but still addictive search for a distinctive error coin I was posting everything that looked odd to my untrained eye heres my best fail : 1979 GB half penny with what i thought was a minting error that turned out to be the remains of some glue or debris left by the imprint of another half penny - OUCH ! ive still got it though just for a laff
Thinking this was a "Steel Cent", for a minute!! The copper layer was removed, and Zinc layer left behind??
This is when I first started with this quarter. I had called the Mint and they gave me Fred’s name. It was a tampered with coin.
