Thanks for the advic Thanks, those are the bronze one, I already have my feelers out for them. A lot of people are just jealous just because I am probably a better grader than 90% of them and have only been grading for 5 years. I get the same thing in my club, I am way better that guys using out dated techniques that think they know everything just because they are older than me plus I already have a job this summer as a professional grader.
What grade do you put this one at Ed? Not a trick btw, just want an expert eye to confirm what I think. Not an S mint by the way just in case that's assumed since so many 81-S out there.
I'm not a Morgan dollar expert that is a ms64 all day long, any professional grader like me would know that is a 64
every one is too afraid to try and quess it cause they are afraid I will be right and they will be wrong and have the wrong grade but I know I am right because they will know I am a better grader than them
I have always put every cent I earned back into coins. But I was and am in it for the long haul. There can be periods of many years when prices sag (as now) across the board. But mostly, not all coins go down at the same time and I have always found segments to sell at a profit even in a down market. I am an exception to what most collectors do. Currently, I am preparing an auction of my accumulation of exonumia since much of the other series are so weak. I contacted and spoke with Mr. Bowers and was assured he would be involved in the cataloguing and preparation of the auction but Christine Karstedt. David
I am not a troll. I just proved my grading abilities by grading Ibetasliverdollars Morgan Dollar correctly as a ms64. Since I am already a professional grader, By the time I am 35 I will probably be in charge of NGC or PCGS or have my own gallery like Stacks Bowers and will have my research published.
If you are of age and being truthful, buy a home/condo of your own and pay most/all in cash for it. With any remaining money, invest it in the Vanguard s&p 500 index fund and don't look at it until you are 62 y/o.
If you are a professional grader (or anything else), soon to be running a top TPG, why in the bejesus would you need to ask us what to buy??
What I am saying, DO go after your dreams, but do it smartly. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Numismatics is volatile and the hobby has a fragile future d/t its lack of interest among young people and the fact we are becoming a cashless/coinless society.
Not knowing you, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and accept at face value that you are as skilled as you claim. Still, and I'm hoping you accept this as constructive criticism, my observation has been that most individuals with as much self esteem as you seem to possess rarely succeed in business for a couple of reasons: (1) because their lack of modesty turns off co-workers and potential customers, and (2) because most of their time is spent talking about what they are going to do, instead of actually doing anything. There are exceptions, of course, but the majority end up being viewed as blowhards. Far better, I think, to dial back on the self-aggrandizement, spend more time getting done those things you have planned, and let your accomplishments do the announcing for you.
Please..... Grandma left me $, I own a Col Green 1/2 million dollar coin, I am gonna work at stacks.... i am an expert at grading and everyone is jealous. Please ask "your roommates dad" where you might be able to find a good behavioral health professional and seek some personal growth
