Absolutely, Saint Gaudens all the way, it just wasn't an option that's all!! Maybe because they're not a full ounce, doesn't matter to this collector!

 

About 3% short, as I recall.

So I guess all else equal they should sell for about 3% less...but since they are graded and protected even in low-MS grades, they usually don't.

 

You're right, I've never seen them sell for less than an ounce at all, not ever. That's okay, to me their worth it because with a Saint Gaudens you're getting a beautiful old school gold coin that has a lettered edge. Honestly, I don't even know about the Liberty's as I've never had one in hand, do they have a lettered edge too??

 

Since 67 ? that would be pretty tough since the AGE wasn't released until 86
