Love krugs, love bit coin more though 52,000, I am trying to find the detractors, but now all I here is crickets....LOL, have more surprises coming your way
I can remember an embargo on the Krug's several years ago. The recent ANA show I attended, there were no more than a handful that I saw. With premiums what they are for other bullion pieces, I'm surprised they're not more popular.
Your talking U.S, Krugs have allot wold recognition, basically "Everybody Knows your name", not sure why some people talk about purity, 1 OZ Gold is 1 OZ of Gold no premium buy or sale based on purity.
if that gold was ever to be used for anything else it would have be refined. anyways are you travelling abroad selling those "krugly" apartheid coins? If your reasoning was correct everyone would be gaga about war nickels.
Thats the beauty of it since 1967 the most recognizable and most traded gold coin out there, tons of articles on the subject, Other world coins such as the maple didnt come along until 1979 and the followed by the AGE in 1986 so big head start for the Krugger
Lags where ? its near the top, but again everybody has there favorite for me its Kruggs, have just started finding years since its very prominent mors so then any other coin, birthdays wedding anniversary's etc.
If you are looking for a low premium you should check out the Gold Australian Kangaroo and Gold British Britannia. I have found they usually have even lower premiums than the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf.
People need to realize the fact that all gold coins are not created equal, the less cost you pay the less you get back in return, thats just the way the cookie crumbles.
Really surprised that the type 2 didnt get a single vote as I am sure there are several hard core type 2 people out there, personally I like the design way better then the type 1
