What is the cause of this?

    Not sure what this is but I see it a negative thing not positive. Some form of Post Mint damage perhaps?? Maybe they have something over at Error-ref.com?

    I don't see anything in the surfaces that say PMD, this is part of the die.

    These are raised die polish lines. There isn't a loss of luster, Mint set applies to what happens after the strike. This is not a wipe to the surfaces.

    I didn't understand that grade but I looked on Heritage at others designated with that.

    I thought about that, this reminds me more of intentional die abrasion, than a feeder finger.
    But it could be.

    Below is NGC definition with pics. I can see why these can be hard to find in static photos.

    Can you show a photo of the wheel marks on the surface of the design or are they just in the field?

    I believe it is just in the field. I do not have the coin in hand right now. I would have to hunt it down.
