This is kind of what I've been thinking. You can look at this solely as there will only be 100k 2011 reverse proofs. While somebody else may look at it as, we're going from 250k, to 350k reverse proofs in existence now. I'd have to imagine the people that just want to own one(who don't already) and don't care about the date on it, may far out-weight the number of people collecting every year of them. Just because of the high cost of the entire set in general.

Then you have the fact that nearly 1% of the total mintage is for sale on ebay right now, tonight, over 8 pages. Before they've even left the mint. There's going to be a tremendous number of them re-sold in the coming months. What will happen to the demand?

I have to go back and ask the question, "Why did the mint release them at only $299?" Obivously, they decided this was the most reasonably, economical price point to get them out the door. Which was also fair to everybody. Should they be going for twice that? Can they once ebay is swamped with them? We're all buyers from time to time too. You don't just buy something from somebody to be nice. Everybody wants the good deal. If all the listings are for $600 and people start listing at $500, they're going to be bid up over $500, but less than $600. And on down the line until it may not be worth it to sell any. You don't know how desperate all these people may get to sell their extra sets when the bill's due. If demand doesn't keep up, it won't be pretty.

It may be hard to lose though. I think the reverse proof should be worth about 2 to 300 by itself, easily. Most likely more. If an 06 is worth $200, and the 11s are 2.5x more rare, than one might say these raw, 2011 RPs could be worth as much as $500 by itself. I don't know if demand can support that but we'll see.
