I dug this one up years ago.
It might need to go in my pocket for a few weeks.
    To actually make CirCam,
By the way anyone heard from @lordmarcovan lately? IMG_0001.JPG IMG_0002.JPG

He comes and goes from sight now and then. Probably has a life outside of CT. Not to worry, he will surely be back soon and active in many ways.

You rang? Yes, have been on hiatus again, and that is likely to continue for the remainder of the month, but I intend to be back in time to do the monthly giveaway drawing and such.

That is picture perfect. I don't think you could get a better Seated Quarter CircCam, AND she's Carson City! Oh, the stories she'd tell.

    Here is a 461-year-old CircCam.

It is a Lithuania half-groschen struck in 1558, under the reign of Sigismund II Augustus of Poland, and featuring the charging knight symbol of Lithuania with a nice heraldic eagle on the other side.

I love this type. They're neat early-dated coins with a cool design, silver, and they're not terribly expensive, either. Nor are they tiny, like the Hungarian denars of the same era (which are the other early-dated Renaissance coin type that offers the most "bang for the buck").

I have a PCGS MS63 1550 example in my "Eclectic Box" collection.

    Cool, huh?

    Y'know what's even more cool?

    This one could become yours
if you win it in the February giveaway drawing! :)

Been wanting one of these for a while, and one appeared today. 1853 Myanmar 1 kyat. The CircCam appearance was what sealed the deal for me. 1853 MM 1 k obv.JPG 1853 MM 1 k rev.JPG

Just sold a very large hunk of my collection, including some of my best coins, in order to get some money for bills.

But the sales went better than expected, so I've bought some new stuff to fill some of the void created by recent sales.

This one is coming my way. First coin I ever bought from David Lawrence (DLRC).

These two British errors are certainly CircCams, particularly the Charles II crown. That's what made me buy it. The error designation was just an interesting bonus.

I love the Victoria coins, it’s so neat to see her move from youth and gradually onward through the decades on the coinage.
