Doesn't somethig have to have a copyright for the infringement to take place? Obviously I am not the lawyer you're looking for.
Hire a lawyer to write a letter. They will drop theirs. Or Tell them what you are doing and ask for some free grading of 12 coins and you'll send them a letter saying it is OK to use your idea and you are flattered. Something similar happened to me. Coin World wrote me to stop using "Making the Grade" as my column title in Numismatic News. I replied to their letter that I had been using that title in my newsletter for decades BUT I WAS HAPPY TO LET THEM USE IT ALSO. I never heard another peep from them.
That's like Budweiser suing Yeungling over their eagle......then they found out that Yeungling was around a lot longer than them.
Would PCGS poof the thread if I put it up exactly like this on their forum? Would there be any agreement like here or would everyone claim I took the design from PCGS?
