Been trying to logon, but it's down. How to they expect to have sales if the site is down? Looking to buy a Birthday gift, guess I will go to EBAY.
I finally got my order in. It was tougher than my last colonoscopy. At one point it said that I was temporarily banned. I went outside to blow some leaves and came back after 30 minutes and was able to log back in. After 30-40 refreshes along the way I finally got confirmation of my order. It continually failed using the CC they have on file so I just reentered the number of the same card as a new card and it worked. They definitely have issues when there's a high load. All I can say is keep trying. I doubt if they will sell out today given the issues ordering.
By sell out I meant the V75 coin which I was able to order. @cpm9ball, Eric is handling the orders today.
I assumed that I was put in a time out period, probably because I tried to log in too many times over a short period of time. About 45 minutes later I tried to log in and was successful. I was able to get my order placed for the V75 eventually.
Location... I am in Florida and several others here tried and got the same Error, refresh, etc. Sister in Delaware had no problem.,.
Good for you! I had other things to do today so I didn't try. I'd like to have one but at that price, I'm not gonna go crazy if I don't get one! Certainly won't be the first time I lost out with the US Mint!
WELL if its this tough.......... tougher than my last colonoscopy.......... I don't want one either....
I've had nothing but problems with the U.S. Mint for the past couple of years. I had an alternate address (an old address of a fellow CT member to whom I sent some Mint purchases he offered to have certified for me). Anyway, that's a 10 year old address and they have since moved. Somehow, that old address magically became my "default" address (I didn't do it). A rather expensive order got earmarked for that address. I immediately called the Mint to resolve the problem (once I saw the bogus address in my confirmation email), but they said the order was already sent to their Fulfillment Center and, even though the order wouldn't be shipped for at least a week, there was no way they could reroute or cancel the order. They told me to simply return the unwanted item once it was delivered. I tried to explain that it was being sent to a bad address, but they couldn't break from procedure. I told them..."Well, I hope you send it with insurance because because I'm cancelling payment. You've been warned!". Long story short, they still have me listed for non-payment of the order. Oh well...I'm not paying for something I didn't receive. I told them not to do it!
Wow, what a nightmare! Do you think the new person at that address got some free coins? Has the Mint tried to collect payment from you, I mean was it sent to a bill collector? As far as the US Mint goes, they're not my favorite coin dealer at all!
