Youre not the only one. Glad I didn't buy one yet.

Why does everyone think that just because it is a new year of production, it should look good.

    It's still a crappy Zincoln!

My advice for people is to go buy one already slabbed PF69 off ebay. That way you can see what youre getting. (The prices for PF70 are stupid expensive)

That is a shame. You would think, in all of their mints, West Point would have the best QC.

I'm in no rush for my yearly sets. I usually wait until all are released so I pay only one shipping charge. By that time I hope they correct this problem. I'm so glad I will be done with everything they issue at the end of the ATB series.

Seems like maybe the packaging machines are scuffing up the coins?

Please let us know. I have five sets and only one looks clean. The reason for five is because I am constantly adding great grandchildren. At least two more this year.

I only got 2. One looks ok, but the other looks like someone wiped it off before putting it in the bag.

Unfortunately acetone is not likely to have any effect on a blemish like the one in the OP's photo.

You are probably right but won't hurt to attempt. What do you think caused that damage. Mine looks the same in the same areas and from what I have read a large percentage of the w cents have the same type of damage in the same 2 areas of the obverse. Could it be when they heat sealed the plastic baggies?
