I absolutely LOVE your holder. However, time is quantized. There is a "shortest length of time" that exists. It is defined by the interval between when I see a coin I want that's in an ANACS yellow holder, and when I can't wait to smash said holder to get the coin the heck outta there.

CoinCorgi Tell your dog I said hi!

I've busted out every slabbed coin I've purchased. About 10 coins maybe.

The only yellow ANACS pieces I own are ANA banquet table favor souvenirs.

But I do own almost every album the "other" James Taylor put out.

Mine would be the below listing, just a little different than yours dwhiz. ;) That said, I would never send a coin in to PCGS to be graded unless it costs me over $400 or $500. I know there are PCGS purists on this coin forum as they are on all coin forums. ANACS does a good enough job for what I send them. The reason I won't send all my coins to PCGS is b/c I've come across way too many PCGS slabs that I felt were over graded. One of which I returned to them and received a refund on. :D And yes, my list is not a blanket listing at all, once in awhile you get lucky and the TPG don't matter! I love it when that happens! :D

#1) PCGS (Old green holders, the rattlers)
    #2) ANACS (small white holders)
    #3) NGC (no line fatties)

AG3 doesn't seem too far off reality does it ?? what's your complain @Marshall ?

Side note : I'm not much of a ground find large cent collector so I have no idea

It looks no better than Fr2 Details to me. Perhaps that's what they meant rather than FINE Details. I've see many AG Details far better than this one.

I had a feeling that's what you were talking about... i dont see how you can go from fine all the way down to AG3 anyway.
Has to be a mis-print. Idk but that holder cant be THAT old. I thought they started using that blue triangle only on the more recent holders.

Burton is right (per his usual) they did this briefly, right before they switched over to the all blue slant top holders. Marking the end of the hotel soap era.

Rank them how you like but---------
most dealers only care about NGC & PCGS .
Buy the coin & not the holder - they are just issuing an opinion .

    Oddly enough, @ARCHIE63090
That's why I posted this thread- to debunk some of the myths that are floating around out there, especially the myth that Anacs has nothing but garbage in their slabs.
As for dealers all they care about is profit,
They use every excuse in the book to try to lowball someone. Even in an NGC or PCGS slab they will try to find some excuse.

Buy the book, then go buy another !!
