I sold most of mine at $42. I feel wonderful about it. I am running a house, paying bills ,wife, 2 kids, 3 cats. $210 a week unemployment isn't making it. If I'd have kept it, THEN I'd feel bad.
Some of the Morgans I sold had $7.00 on the 2x2. I am probably going to sell my 73 Riviera if work doesn't pick up.

I know you're happy with what you got, but dang, your note really made me sad. Been there myself, but was in a better position than most people.

Still, I hope you don't have to sell your car, and I truly hope things turn around for you.

Fortunately, you were smart and bought silver when it was low. It's doing the job for you that it was meant to do. Good luck.

Will I automatically get tax papers in the mail if I sell to bullion buyers--- like APMEX?

As with anyone I started collecting as a kid. The family would get me those 1 oz englehard silver rounds. My grandfather pulled every silver coin in his collection from circulation and from his local bank he's been going to since 1946! I think he is one of the ones who got "lucky" in this area as a teller for many years would set aside any silver for him at the bank. I had recently had a chance to really go through his collection with him. I asked if he bought anything he had, and he said "boy that teller at the bank gave me everything I have, the rest I got in change." When I saw his one of his boxes filled with Walking Liberty's I nearly fell right there in the kitchen. It spooked my grandmother. I asked my grandfather if he knew the current prices of silver. Let's just say he is one happy camper right now. And he is NOT selling. I don't think I would either after collecting a lifetime of silver coins. The best thing is he didn't have to pay for any of it. What "regular silver change" can do.

That's a cool story! Ahh the good old days when silver coins circulated. I was 7 in 1964, so I remember.

I don't feel that terrible about selling some of my silver b/c life's too short. I made a profit and I plan on making more. Besides, a collector neighbor sold all of his junk silver at 16xface and he's been collecting for over 45yrs. I just realized this is an old thread, funny!! The secret to making it in the silver/ebay arena, oh never mind. It's a secret. :D
