Think this is really an ounce of pure silver?

I think it is more coincidence although Rob or Chris may be members here, I don't know. I do know that they released an update video in 3 parts which explains some of their trials and tribulations (some would say excuses), but being in the customer service industry most of my life, as well as high end software sales & high end auto repair, there are things which happen which are simply beyond your control. They do make mention of updating the website in the video though. I applaud their transparancy and do feel confident in doing business with them. I recieved my order of Trivium medallions and already placed an order for even more of the Slave queen as I feel silver is about as low as it will go, perhaps dipping into the $29 range if the manipulators really start pumpin' the paper... but I would rather be wrong by $1-$2 and buy at $30-$31/oz, then risk missing the ride up to the next peak which I believe will topple the $50 mark and will then become the new low~ But what do I know, i'm just a crazy gun toting silver hoarder

Does anyone have the "Slave Queen" in hand yet?

I don't think anyone does. A video that was liked to in this thread features the guys who are making them and they admit they are way behind on the previous issue and haven't even started minting the slave queens yet.

 

So are people "pre-ordering" and paying up front ... on the hope they receive goods in six months or so?

That would be a red flag, IMO.

 

I really like it, but I'll wait and see if it actually comes out and someone has one in hand.

 

I don't have mine in hand yet but believe they will be shipping soon, although some people have them as they are on Ebay and selling at quite a premium considering that it is still available to purchase direct. They have updated the website to reflect the delays and have been communicating very well on the matter IMHO. I recieved my first 25 Trivium medallions a few weeks ago without issue. According to the updates they should be minting the "slave queens" now so I assume they are shipping out on a first-in first-out basis, plus I believe they are going to start minting the "Freedom Girl" medallions this week. I have a bunch of the "Slave Queens" on order and will let you know when I recieve them... I also just ordered a few Slave queen proofs which just became available to order on their site a few days ago~

 

Not sure where you are getting your info from, but I placed my order for the Trivium bullion medallions on 12/29/12 and recieved them on 1/10/13, and that was paying with a personal check. There were known delays with the proof medallions but even then I don't think anyone had to wait 6 months~ If they did, it is certainly not the case anymore~

My first hand experience says they are doing just fine considering they were basically a start-up company and did not expect to sell nearly as many as they did. Well hopefully my single Slave Queen will arrive and I look forward to the Freedom Girl round also, these guys are putting out some beautiful coins, hopefully they look as nice in hand. Now i i could just find a buddy who has a Debt and Death and Trivium to trade/sell to me

 

I wish I had been able to buy some of the Debt & Death when they were available but couldn't at the time, but have been trying to get as many of the others as possible. I bought my D&D's from Ebay and paid $60 each for them which I was hesitant to do, but it looks like they are selling for over $100 each now! Sweet!

Also they announced that if they sell 10,000 oz of silver on January 29th from midnight to midnight they will give away a special copper Debt & Death medallion to each order placed! Needless to say i'll probably be placing multiple orders just in case

Yeah I am in the same boat, slave queen BU, slave queen proof and freedom girl... Since the update said they hoped to have most of the Slave queens shipped by last wednesday I waited until this weekend to email them. I recieved an email from Taylor @ Coins for the Cause saying that my order should be shipped out by the end of the week... fair enough, stuff happens. I would like to see my proof or possibly the freedom girls I ordered arrive at the same time but i'll just be happy to start recieving the rest of my orders as I have ordered a LOT from them lately~ I skipped out on the ANT offering as I don't follow the podcast and as I said, I am 3 orders deep with them already and feel that is plenty for now... although the copper Debt & Death certainly made me think hard about it several times!

 

Got notification this evening that my Slave Queens are on their way so i'm sure your will be shipping out soon!
