    Two varieties that year.
    Open 3 and a Closed 3
    Refers to the spacing in the center of the 3.

    You beat me to the punch, rte...LOL, to be perfectly honest there really isnt that much of a difference between the dates on the open 3 or the closed 3 are so slight
    I doubt anybody would really notice unless you told them about it.

    There is a little more difference on the $5 gold eagles.

    Thats super nice ! the front is really nice, looks better then a 50, not sure why it isnt centered, I will check it out, and no relations in 185, but that hasn't stopped me..LOL, looking for another as I type, believe it or not havent found anything that floats my boat yet, aggravated a little though had a chance to buy a 2017 50th anniversary Krugerrand at APMEX was there last night but not today..DARN !!
