Yeah, I would have bought that in an instant. I would have asked if he had anymore in the back. Sometimes they keep additional stuff in the back for when the stuff in the case sells. Then they have something to replace it.

...this is one of the commems that I see most often in older holders, so I'll say no premium (it would if the holder was rarer...i.e. NGC 1.0, 2.0, or 2.1).

 

80 on the iowa, prices have been weak on them

I got wrapped up in auction fever, and the guy bidding against me stopped. I was going to dump it on him, but he dumped it on me.

All said and done, I paid $115.75. In other words - way too much....

Yeah, this one kinda had everything going for it. It was the holder that drew me in though. The green label with the gold hot stamp reverse are not too easy to come across..

 

I'm guessing it was more the toning then the holder....
