$70 ...I'll say you got a deal (but one can also say $70 is still a premium as generic 64 grades have gone as low as $45-$55 in auctions).
@KSorbo takes this one. I paid up for this one. It has the look I like and the holder I like. I paid $150.00 for it. I over paid for it, but I figure with all the bargains I get, I'm still way ahead for my collection.
I picked up a couple new coins this weekend but unfortunately none in old holders. The floor is open.
1897 MS-65 old INGS holder An ms 65 coin trends at $260 in the market review, and coin world $300 what did I pay? btw in hand unbelievable at 65 no less than 66 +
I purchased this about 18 months ago......out of the entire case of Morgans of all grades and in pcgs and ngc holders this coin was a beacon no other coin in the case had such gleaming luster......and it was love at first sight.....
Very cool. I understand. I was just curious. It seems these unique holders are becoming more and more popular. I think you paid more than my original post due to the recent purchase. If it was years ago, I stand by my guess. Anyway, congrats. I love a nicely struck Morgan.
Again a no brainer purchase.....and why it didn't sell before I spoted it.....I believe that people have blinders if the coin isn't in one of the top 2 TPG holders. That's ok by me I have always and will always buy the coin.... and I did.....
