$250 ...I think that is very cool! However, I'll say the premium was low since this isn't the type of coin that slab collectors go for (Morgans, Peace Dollars, Franklins, Jeffersons, etc are more commonly found in slab collections...I also think many could be unfamiliar with it or not know enough to judge the authenticity).
Calling it, as this is right on the nose. I paid 179.56 all said and done. @baseball21 for the win. Batter up!
My bad I’ve been away from home. I have nothing at the moment on my phone. Can you open the tonic thread to whoever as well
And up next we have this Coin Vault Holder.... This was what I had in my description when selling: Holdered by Coin Vault in the late 1980s....this was when they also photographed the coin and put them in these larger rectangular holders...Coin Vault was not a Grading Service, they just packaged coins in these holders (Note: I'm not sure if this holder was affiliated with the Coin Vault people that sold coins on TV) ...guide for an UNC Walking Liberty would be $25-$45. What did the holder sell for?
Wow!! No idea nice coin though and holder. $250 This is a partial bid on my part btw As in, i would pay atleast that if u still had it
$65. Nice looking Walker. Whoever marketed it may have overcharged but at least they weren't passing off dreck.
That was a great guess as it sold for $130.50. I started an auction around $85 and expected it to get one bid at best; I was surprised that at the end two bidders drove it up to that price. It is a scarce holder (I've only seen one more besides the one I sold) so someone must have wanted it.
@ddddd BTW, as a pet peeve of mine....i wouldve straightened that coin out in the holder. Using vigorous vibration from a power tool. If the coin in super tight, and wont budge, then the OTHER way is to tap it on one edge on a hard surface. I have a 100% success rate, probably because it bugs me so much not to.
