This works same way as Lord Marcovan's game, so if you post a coin from Milan that was struck between 1214-1234, one could follow with any hammered coin from Italian States/ any date between 1214-34.

    I shall start it off....
AV Ducato ND struck between 1440-47 Milan Mint
Filippo Maria Visconti Duke of Milan
    Italy/ So Italian States/ 1440-47 4f448c3300d29637d7e757d919eacbe1 (1).jpg

I will run out of playable coins pretty rapidly, but I can do 1440-47.

Netherlands (Gelderland): "St. John" type goldgulden (florin) of Arnold van Egmond, ca. 1423-1472

So I guess that makes the next play Netherlands/Low Countries or 1423-1472.

I think we should allow all hammered coins from 650BC to 1500AD....this way the great gang from the "Ancient Coin Forum" can participate in this thread:)

OMG, Panzerman - you KILL me with this stuff! WOW.

So it's ancient Rome to me?

Might as well get my "Capricorn" denarius out of the way, since it's the only Roman Imperial I presently own.

Ancient Roman Empire: silver "Capricorn" denarius of Vespasian, struck by Titus ca. 80-81 AD

So that makes Ancient Rome or 80-81 AD to the next player, I suppose.
