Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem respecting the traditions I just can’t see myself going on any trip without my wife, without whom traveling would lose all its joy. </p><p><br /></p><p>For those of a similar mindset but who are still interested in learning about Orthodox monasticism in Greece I highly recommend visiting Meteora. It is second in importance only to Mt. Athos and women are allowed to visit as well. Here are a few photos from my visit. It is a beautiful and fascinating place though certainly more touristy than the serene Mt.
