As the conflict between Israel and Iran
ramp up so does the price of GOLD !
my lLCS calls it the fear metal when
people are a bit uneasy about world events they buy GOLD and I am very
uneasy as everything is up ! Gas just
hit $4.50 a gallon at my local Costco
my son is paying $5.25 a gallon just
    outrageous !

While I do have some gold as a hedge for inflation, my wife and
I keep a well stocked pantry. 4-6 months of non perishable food
items. And yes toilet paper as well.

I'm looking at stocking up on some inventory.
My better half likes bottled water, I can just as well drink from the faucet.
We have the staples, rice beans and such.
I'd like to find a place indoors for a freezer.
If I ever get a wild hair and enclose the carport into an unpermitted garage :stop::( I could move the toolbox and gain some space for a freezer.

My wife is concerned about water as well. We live in a house that is
2000 sq.ft. I'm running out of room for water. I've got 30+ cases of
    water. She wants more.

Wish I lived in your parts, I paid $5.39 a gallon today here in Cali and I had to travel a few miles away from my home to get that deal! :cigar:

Plenty of gas in Florida. People buying bigger boats and trucks to haul them.

It’s always a good idea to be prepared
it seems every time I turnaround there’s
a shortage of something I have to wait
until the end of the month to get my monjoro.

I have for at least a half century, including a water bed full of deep well water.

I recently decided I'd open a sealed pouch of smoked fish stored at least 30 years ago.

As a scientist, I'm very cautious, and check for any expansion of the pouch, and depress to determine for pliable texture.

Everything appeared/seemed copacetic, so I opened one side and microwaved for 5 minutes on defrost.

Amazingly the removed/tasted product was delicious, my German Shepherd loved some juices over his food, and days later, nothing appears wrong!

So, I believe you've made a wise decision!!

I have a hygienically-clean process household that eliminates the need for "toilet-paper"!

Gold's fundamentals -- which I have posted on othe threads -- remain intact. This emotional selling to no-war in the Middle East will fade and then gold will rise again.

Look at how gold rose with a rising 10-year T-Bond rate...then in the last few days we are told that rising interest rates are a headwind for gold !!! :D

Social unrest in the world makes people run to GOLD for a sense of security many producers have bars that you can split in to
smaller amounts so if you had to barter then you would have smaller amounts.
