I bought this at my favorite coin shop a few weeks ago when I was traveling but have been too busy to post! There will be more to come! 1 oz fine silver for $17.50 They had a bunch of coins in these flips and a lot of them (including this one) had old prices on them. The purity and weight is on the rim of the coin: 999 fine, 1 troy oz
Thanks. I believe its part of a three coin/medal set with other designs on the reverse. The cool part about these coins is that you can actually feel the features of the coin. For example, his face is higher than the rest of the coin, etc.
Only one of these coins in the boxes. There were some different coins with prices close to melt that I bought as well though. Will post in another thread.
Looks like a piece produced by Medallic Art Co. ( MACO) Nice pick up. Corrected for spelling. Looks like $40 on the bay.
Just an FYI: This is not a coin. A coin is produced by a country and has a denomination on it. Also, usually with the name of a country. This is a privately minted piece.
For 17.50 an oz.....Back up the truck & load up. It sure pays off to check those what-not bins. Kinda of suprised they let you have them for that price. Great catch!
I think my OP was confusing…. They were different coins, there was only one silver coin I saw under melt. If there were more, I definitely would have gotten them though!
