I suppose that if someone were to do business with you, then it's good to know your business policies and limitations for testing. On the other hand, the guy in the video doesn't seem to have any issues at all.
Sadly, the world is full of criminals who misrepresent what they are selling. We have few enough people trying to sell home-made lumps that it doesn't make sense to take a large risk for a very small possible gain. As it is, the buy-sell spread is very thin and one mistake can erase a week's profits.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G17igHI0cJk&feature=youtube_gdata_player Say what you like about walker silver. Their bars and buttons bring a premium on eBay. A 2 ounce button sold last week for $86. Some guy melted his own and stamped it and he got $56 for it. My 1 oz buttons sold for 39 & 40 shipping included when silver was $32. I wouldn't buy somebody's homemade melted scrap unless it was .50 a gram and not on eBay. There's too many crooks selling on eBay
. No, but you might want to keep them if valuable. My first shipment to them wasn't stripped and the shipping was high, so I strip everything down before shipping now. If you watch the YouTube video on my last post, he sends the stuff back that 2000 degrees wouldn't melt. I have one of my first One ounce bars on eBay now if you want to watch how it does. I like the 2 ounce buttons best.
