They look cha-chi........almost tempted to see what they look like in hand.
I'd like to test the diamagnetic properties with these and a real proof ASE. Brass is slightly diamagnetic and will exhibit a slight repelling/pushing effect when a strong magnet is run over it. Unfortunately these don't look too bad when compared to a real one........the ray going through the L is a bit off, and Mercanti's initials are slightly bigger, but I could see how they'd fool someone.
I like how the seller claims that they only sell them "to make your collections more perfect." Lol, that's precious.
You think those bloody things look 'real'?
Thanks for posting this.
There have been a few times where I have seen interesting bullion at flea markets or farmers' markets. No matter how tempting, it's just safer to pass.
I said I could see how they'd fool someone.......not me. (mind You I'm not talking about the ones with the blatantly wrong reverses)
I assume they mean silver plated brass instead of "brass plated"
The only "test" many know from their bullion buddies is the magnet test. If it passed that, I think it would catch a few. Yes, the language is a little off.
