Since this is a bitcoin thread there was a huge conference yesterday including Elon himself. Turns out he doesn't own much btc at all, yes Tesla does but he said he owns only a little and a little dogecoin and something else that was unimportant!

Yep, I love gold as well! I don't own bitcoin at all but I won't say never as I just don't know. What surprises me is this old thread is still getting hits!

 

Realistically its basically dead and just the same people saying the same stuff over and over. Need a big swing for any discussion to bring in others for the most part

Bitcoin is over $45,000.
There is over 2 trillion in the crypto market. Why are people putting their money into nothing? This isn't the Matrix. These currencies should never have been accepted anywhere for any reason. It all started with shady deals and trying to not leave a paper trail. (Silk Road?) But anytime any greedy SOB thinks they can make money off of something, now we have crypto exchanges, crypto trading apps, blah blah blah. The insanity of the legitimacy of these currencies is more disturbing than the currencies themselves.

 

Is there an English definition for that?

 

Now, we have plastic/ paper and bitcoin. A person had the choice in 1928 to redeem his/ her $1000 bill into 50 Double Eagles. Real money was always struck in gold/ silver/ until the Russians dabbled with Platinum in 1828. Trump wanted to put the US back on the "Gold Standard"/ but was told it would mean a gold price of $60K an oz.

I don't have a problem with people buying low and selling high. (As long as you get out.) I do the same thing in the stock market. I just feel there is no real value in these currencies and eventually it is going to crash hard and 90% of the people are going to get burned.
