    Sure, but I wouldn't call 24% a mere pullback . . .

    No "currency" is this volatile.

For me as a long term investor in BTC I
like when it drops as I put more money
in :) this has superior potential to just
    about any other investing vehicle.

Sure seems to me like you're more a much stronger believer in BitCoin for its short term speculative potential, than for its viability as a credible medium of exchange well into the future . . . and that is precisely the point I've been trying to make all along.

Short term ? not at all this is for the long term
atleast for me, looks like we have a different
view on short and long term investing.

The way you and others express your interest in / support of BitCoin leaves me with the impression that you plan to own it only for as long as you expect an outsized ROI. Whether that's holding 6 months or 6 years, in relative terms that duration pales in comparison to one that would attend the feigned belief that BitCoin will achieve and enjoy a long reign as a reliable, broad-based medium of exchange.

That would be an incorrect theory, I would have to say I have no vehicles for
short term investing only long term as of now, and I dont see that changing
    any time soon.

Several days ago, El Salvador made Bitcoin a legal tender in their nation. Several laws in the US regarding digital currencies have to do with whether or not the coins hold legal tender status in any nations. This could have repercussions here in the US...

The viability of cryptos may prove to be real or not, but that will sort itself out in time and will be debated until we are all sick of it.

What is not debatable is the desire for quick fortunes, scams, schemes, cyclical monetary crises, government overspending, inflation/hyperinflation, deflation, devaluation, etc. These are independent of the vehicle used to satiate the human desire for fortune.

Is Bitcoin a path to the future or a repeat of previous get rich quick schemes? We will know when we look back a decade from now. But for sure fortunes will be made and lost in the process of figuring it out. If history is a measure of viability then it is more likely a passing event and not a path to the future.

Probably not. The GDP of El Salvador is $27 b and the US is $21,483 b.
