So, did you convert that silver to Bitcoin a couple of years ago instead of sending it to @Garlicus after he paid you for it? Or did you just put @Garlicus's money into Bitcoin? If the latter, I imagine @Garlicus might be willing to accept whatever amount of BTC his hundred-odd dollars bought you back then.

I just seen a Bitcoin themed silver round on a website that I was browsing, we could possibly get super rich with these.

Huh. Just insert cash, collect Bitcoin?

Ah. Insert cash and an entire one-stop identity-theft package, receive Bitcoin. Sure, why not? If I can't trust a vending machine with my complete financial identity, who can I trust?

The coinstar machines around here now buy and sell Bitcoin. You know those coin star machines in grocery stores that reject silver. Lol

BitCoins require a small hard drive. BitCoins have not met their fair market value even though it is 10x the price as it was a few months ago.

Silver will be in the buy range before long.

I'm intrigued by this notion of "fair market value" for BitCoin. Tell me more.

Just found this thread. A 7 year old April Fools prank that just keeps giving. Love it!

I've also seen those Bitcoin ATMs in real life. At a gas station I frequent, the clerk was trying to talk a woman out of using it to send $10,000 to a "relative" of hers with a medical emergency while travelling in the UK. Very scary, this dystopian future that we live in.

You think our world is dystopian?! I’m very sorry you feel that way. Cheer up, it’s not that bad!

Yep a 7 year April fool's joke and the joke ends up being on the silver crowd yet again. The silver crowd is so busy putting down other investment vehicles that they can't see that silver is the joke. All the hype and what is it down since this thread started ? 40%, 50%, or 60%?

In 2013, silver was around $25/ ounce. So, about 30% (made worse by insurance/security/storage costs).

I haven't looked at Bitcoin prices recently. What has its performance been like over the last 7 years?
