There are no physical Bit coins. That's just a token.

    Hi Kentucky,

The Sol Noctis is not gilded however some of my Casascius Silver 1.0 BTC are in fact gilded. There were approximately 1500 of the Casascius Silver Singles minted in total and slightly less than half were gilded (middle coin, the other two are Casascius Brass 1.0 BTC)

Quoted out of context -- he actually meant he saw no reason to have a computer controlling everything in the home, according to later interviews.

Oh, and it was DEC, not Xerox.

First, to keep it coin related, here is a Casascius 0.1 BTC i recently sold. 1/4 ounce of silver and 0.1 btc under the hologram, minted in 2013.

“We’ve learned and struggled for a few years here figuring out how to make a decent phone … PC guys are not going to just figure this out,” said then-Palm CEO Ed Colligan in 2006, after news that Apple was developing a phone. “They’re not going to just walk in.”

“ is a very interesting retail concept, but wait till you see what Wal-Mart is gearing up to do,” he said [IBM Chairman, Louis V. Gerstner Jr.]. Mr. Gerstner noted that last year IBM’s Internet sales were five times greater than Amazon’s. Mr. Gerstner boasted that IBM “is already generating more revenue, and certainly more profit, than all of the top Internet companies combined.”

“Neither RedBox nor Netflix are even on the radar screen in terms of competition,” said Blockbuster CEO Jim Keyes, speaking to the Motley Fool in 2008. “It’s more Wal-Mart and Apple.” Jim Keyes, was Blockbuster, of course....

    And of course, this gem:

When one's financial interests are threatened by the emergence of a new technology it is easier to dismisses it than admit what is happening....
