People get so upset over a small daily change in the price of silver (or gold). It went up last week so today's action is a reaction. It will probably go back up later in the week but if it doesn't it is not the end of the world. Look at the 200-day running average. That is probably going up (I admit I have not looked because O really don't care). Those of us in for the long haul don't worry about minor swings. Relax. Sit on the deck with a glass of wine (or your favorite beverage) and watch the sunset. It will be much better for your long-term health.
Glass of Bordeaux,or three. At this point I'm happy to see it go down. I'm buying for the long term. The longer it stays down, the more I can afford to buy.
Sweet tea, fried crappie, and grand children on the boat dock....sun setting... Silver moon on the rise.............
I buy silver but I don't daily trade silver, nor even monthly trade. I haven't sold silver even when it hit over 30. So .. it's just interesting to watch. I watch stocks too .. and bonds .. and all those financial mumbo-jumbo stuff.
That 20 cent drop at 9:47 (EST) was on a big increase in volume which lasted one minute. Another naked short dump?
You're going to drive yourselves crazy trying to figure out why a 25 cent drop occurred. You're going to go mad trying to buy an ounce at /just the right moment'/ to save a quarter per ounce. It's not worth it, guys. Relax. You're not ballers. Following the price of silver on a daily basis is not going to make much of a difference for you. (If someone on here buys or sells 1000+ ounces a day, it might. And I stand corrected. But for the rest of us, stop acting like this is important).
It's not important, as I have said several times elsewhere. That does not mean that wondering why is not appropriate. I don't follow the COT reports anymore but I did back in the 2008-2011 timeframe and big sudden drops were almost always due to sudden dumps of naked shorts.
I think it's odd that it's driving people crazy who are telling people to not get crazy over this ? it's just fun to watch and speculate. Don't drive yourself crazy thinking we're driving ourselves crazy over it. lol
I was a diehard cali cab guy until a customer of mine gave me a bottle of Bordeaux. I find it to be a fuller, denser wine. It's all good as long as there's a bottle.
The last time I was watching silver daily was when I was in the photo lab biz and my recovered silver from my effluents were sitting at the refiner in an "ounces" account. I had the option to pick up the phone at any time during daytime hours and say "sell it". I got really good at timing it, too. All the numbers were lower then. I guess my perspective about Ag is colored by the fact that for most of my career, silver was a junk by-product that I just got from every roll of film and every print made.
, I'll grant you more "complexity" because Bordeaux are seldom of one grape. Also, Bordeaux is more weather chancy. Good years, so-so years and a few truly bad years. To a true Bordeaux fan of middle age, you've had your share of truly GREAT years. Unfortunately they get really pricey.
