To me they are more costly. Sure, they look prettier, but I am just as happy with a nice XF. In fact, as a numismatic item I consider the XF sovereigns from the 1920 and before to be way more valuable (to me) than the bullion sovereigns of the 50s and 60s. If I were trying to sell gold the MS modern ones would be the first to go. And no, I am not trolling, as one poster claimed. I am genuinely expressing my preference, hoping that others will think about what I am saying.
There ya go!!! Hey Happy Easter Steve to You and Yours!! I may sign off for weekend Grandkids are here.
Those people who dont like my thoughts of melting the silver and gold down to make the lower graded items collectible, simply dont read what i place in here...Remember the saying....UNC is JUNK... ( my USA 1st amendment rights ) Have a lovely day you all
...will be critical for us to keep in mind when CoinTalk becomes a part of the US government, whose power the Amendments constrain.
You would think there would be a silver market trading somewhere in the world. After all, not all countries celebrate Easter. I was kind of thinking that it would be used as an opportunity to swing the price wildly on thin trading.
Best general commodity investment so far this year .. Cocoa .. except from 2 years ago when it maxxed then crashed, now back up. LOL Though Palladium is on the list (just below Gasoline), and Gold (just below Lean Hogs), with Silver being in the red under Heating Oil. Followed up by Copper, Platinum and Zinc later down on the list. ==> https://www.marketwatch.com/story/s...s-but-coal-sugar-take-biggest-hits-2018-03-31 And Silver is still dead this Holiday weekend. with Provident having Silver listed at $16.43 and 2017 ASEs at $18.53 as their lowest cost option.
wow, Provident has 1986 ASEs for $43.42 each. wowser. I should scroll through and see what they sell each year for. that's for your Numistmatic people. Others will think it's only an ounce of Silver and worth $16.43. just checking on eBay ... 1986 - 2017 NGC MS69 slabbed set sold for under $1300. That's nearly $42 per coin avg. Wheres an unslabbed set sold for under $770; just under $25 avg.
