Not so long ago many casinos had slot machines that paid out with ten dollar silver center tokens with gold looking brass outer rings. Over the years I have scrapped a fair number of these tokens that were damaged or just too common to get even melt value when sold. Here is one of the outer rings without the center, it is 43 mm in diameter and weighs 18.95 grams. silver center outer ring798.jpg

I have a bunch of these. They came in different denominations, mine are $10 and carried a $10 value in the casino. As I recall they are .6 of an ounce each silver, so 5 coins equal 3 ounces. Many of them are from casinos that are no longer there. I really enjoyed collecting them.

    I remember those days.
Lots of fun plugging in quarters and getting silver strikes back in return.
More information on the silver strikes site.

My favorite place in LV. Hated when it was imploded.
